The first coffee shop I fell in love with in Atlanta was, at the time, the only Octane Coffee in the city and, after 10 years, they’re still going strong. They’ve now grown to three locations in Atlanta with the forthcoming shop that recently opened at Atlanta Tech Village braving the Buckhead scene. Oh, yeah, and the two ‘Bama locations if you find yourself in Birmingham, where their roaster resides. Octane Coffee Westside is where it all started.
Here’s the gist //
1009 Marietta St NW, ATL, GA 30318
M-Th: 7am – 11pm | Fri: 7am – 12am | Sat & Sun: 8am – 11pm
If you need a late night brew session, they have your back.
Their own Home(wood) beans roasted in the heart of Birmingham, AL.
Think modern chic with an urban air. The baristas know their stuff and there is always local art with a fresh perspective. Expect boisterous indie music and full tables with entrepreneurial types or local students. Octane was the first to bring the brew and booze together and have a full bar. They also specialize in pour over and latte art, which they show off at the Southeast Regional Barista Competition. These guys know how to get it done.
Sublime Donuts are definitely the favorite. There are some pretty good sandwich/hummus options too if you’re planning on staying awhile. If you have a hankering for other-than-coffee, they’re stocked with Arden’s Garden smoothies and the most amazing ginger beer.
Know Before You Go
Parking can be tough; expect to do some parallel action. There is also a lot across the street (West Marietta).
Espresso + honey.
