CHATTAHOOCHEE COFFEE COMPANY | akers mill

If you tread up 75 N just OTP (outside the perimeter, for Atlanta folk), you’ll find yourself looking for water and a peaceful place to hunker in for the day. This is the Chattahoochee’s best kept secret, partially because you actually have to call in to get in.

Chattahoochee Coffee Company is nestled into the apartment community of Walton on the Chattahoochee. Once you visit, you’ll drool over the chance to go back and longingly think of moving there to enjoy  the coffee, beautiful scenery, and the sounds of the river. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Oh yeah, did I mention they’re committed to social justice? Swoon.

Here’s the gist //

Location
6640 Akers Mill Rd SE | ATL | 30339

The Hours
M – F: 7 am – 10 pm | Sa – Su: 9 am – 9 pm

Beans
Counter Culture, supporting direct trade with incredible flavor. And, the baristas are pretty rad.

Signature
Chattahoochee Coffee Company is definitely known for their location, the perfect getaway.

Feast
Sandwiches, Arden’s Garden juices, pastries, & XK Macarons…you’ll find plenty to keep you well fed all day.

Know Before You Go
Because they’re located inside the apartment complex, you do need to call in. Simply dial the call box and say “coffee shop, please!” and open sesame. They do have designated parking, so look for the signs and be respectful of those that call the place home. On the weekends, particularly at peak season, there might be time limits to your visit. Just be aware and be kind.

My Order
I typically get the largest iced coffee I can and sit outside to watch the water.

Get the social latest.
