cup of ATL

Hodgepodge Coffeehouse and Gallery has become a community stomping grounds for the South side of Moreland, where you can spot everything from kids’ art classes to open mic poetry slams. All the whilst getting your brew on. I have a tried and true love for the space and its owners, with the open windows and eclectic art highlighting local creatives. This is a family and friends run joint, and if you come a couple times, they’ll induct you into the Hodgepodge crew. I promise you will make memories here.

Here’s the gist //

720 Moreland Avenue, ATL, GA 30030

The Hours
M – Sa: 7 am – 9 pm | Su: 9 am – 9 pm

Local roasters Batdorf & Bronsen with choices of coconut milk/soy milk/cow milk. No almond here, folks. They are nut allergen free.

Hodgepodge is probably most known for their Jamaican brunch which is home cooked every weekend before 2 pm.

Feast | GF, Paleo
They also serve other Jamaican sandwiches and freshly bake their pastries, including gluten free and paleo varieties, in the shop. You will never go hungry here. And, their paleo brownies are to die for.

Know Before You GoIMG_3419
With three rooms, you can have your pick of couches, large working tables,  and cafe nooks. It can be great for meetings, but be aware that if you go mid morning, you’ll likely be joined by the mom’s group. If you’re looking for a mom’s group, this could be the place for you.

My Order
Café olé w/ coconut milk, or if I’m feeling crazy – Slap Yo’ Pappy.
