PONCEY DANCING GOATS | old fourth ward

IMG_9216

Dancing Goats at Ponce City Market, lovingly referred to as Poncey Dancing Goats, feels like the epitome of southern hospitality in a coffee shop.

Location
650 North Avenue NE, ATL 30308

The Hours
M – F:630 am – 6 pm | Sa: 7 am – 6 pm

Beans
Batdorf & Bronson Coffee Roasters boast beans from the major growing areas of Africa, Indonesia and Latin America, which legend has it, cause all forms of dancing.

Signature
Poncey Dancing Goats brews some hella good coffee. Whatever you’re fancy, it’s going to be done well. Originally hailing from Washington, this coffee family now has tasting rooms and espresso bars in seven locations, a pretty lucky number.

Feast
Pastries of all varieties, maybe a gluten free cookie or two, and lots of Arden’s Garden juice options.

Know Before You GoIMG_9217

There’s a small lot right next to the shop. Now that Ponce City Market is open, if you can’t snag a spot there, you can park on the street or below and mosey on up. The shop is also right across from Old Fourth Ward Park, so if the weather is fine, it’s a great place to picnic for the afternoon. Adjacent to the shop is a covered patio where most of their seating, including rockers and swings make those summer days go by fast. Although, in a monsoon, it’s a bit fierce. Indoors, seating is limited to the bar. Wifi is available.

My Order

Iced coffee with just a little sweetener
